GTA 4

Smoke physics:

  • The smoke blowing off a cigarette being smoked by a person sitting in a car doesn’t come out of the car till a window is broken or the door is open.
  • Smoke densities have been given attention too, the smoke out of a big bomb, small bomb and a cigarette have densities like they are supposed to be.

Water physics:

  • A big disturbance in water looks real, created using big waves with the small currents together. Tides and currents.
  • Road reflection when it rains seems very real.
Corel vs Photoshop

Till now I wasn't quite well acquainted with CorelDRAW. It was recently when I had to start learning Corel pertaining to my work needs. Photoshop and Corel are masterpiece softwares for 2D graphic designing. Photoshop used to be god for me till I stumbled on to Corel. Then I realized when it comes to vector based designing, nothing can beat Corel. Corel is perfect for vector graphics. Photoshop is wonderful to work on if you are working with bitmap.

Bitmap vs vector
Vector : Is a type of graphic where lines are defined by mathematical descriptions. So, no matter what the zoom is, the line would never get pixellated. Details are not lost. Bitmap : Bitmap is made up of number of dots called pixels. So, if a bimap graphic is zoomed, unlike the mathematical curves in vector, each pixel gets zoomed and the image looses clarity. Thus, working with Vector is obviously rewarding when you have to enlarge the graphic to unusually high resolution. You would finally have a zoomed image without any loss of quality. Vectors also have a small size if stored in vector supported format like Corel's '.CDR'. Its not just lines. Texture or gradient fills can also be vectors. Unlike bitmap textures and gradients they don't loose the color detail at the transition. No matter what the zoom is. When I learnt to use Photoshop, I did it in a trial and error way. It took me a little more time to master but learning this way helped me to remember through mistakes. The best way to learn online is, looking at step by step tutorials and following them. This helps well to get well acquainted with the workspace, shortcuts and predefined techniques. I started with the Corel documentation at first. Now I've started to follow some random online Corel tutorials. Photoshop: Corel:

Facebook Crazy taxi trick

Step1: Go to [Cheatengine] and download the software "Cheat Engine 5.5" Step2: Now load up Crazy Taxi on Firefox or Internet explorer preferably. Not Chrome because chrome's each tab is recognized as a separate process in cheat engine and you'd have trouble finding the crazy taxi associated process. Step3: Install Cheat Engine and run it. Step4: On the top left corner of cheat engine search for the icon icon. Click on it and search for Firefox or the browser in which your game is loaded. It usually is located at the end of the big list. Click ok Step5: Now select the Enable speed hack option at the right side of the console and drag the slider to 50 or higher. click apply. Step6: With the fowrard arrow key held press start button in Crazy taxi, wait till you have reached a sufficiently high score. leave the forward key and press back key to stop. Be careful, donot make wierdly high hi-scores. Mindjold might detect this as a cheat easily and ban you for ever. Wierd hi-scores are also not published sometimes. Flaunt some safe 90 thousand and shock your friends. Have fun.

The new Ipodnano-5th generation
Apple released the 5th generation of the ipod nano recently. This time there is another set of added candies which were expected much before by the fans. All this in the same old 4G's size.
It is not like Apple cannot release a totally stuffed ipod nano with everything inside it at this date. Be it wi-fi, camera or radio etc. But they prefer releasing new generations adding the features progressively with a small time gap. This is what makes their products more popular. I would obviously buy the new generation of ipod soon after every new version is released, because I'm attracted by the care Apple takes to add any new feature. The user interface includes everything you can think of. This is sufficiently enough to make you comfortable to invest for a new one. I would definitely not worry about the rs 8550 price tag, I feel Apple Ipod Nano is NOT overpriced [BUY it here for rs 8500]. Everyone would do the same I assume. This is what that boosts up their sales. Or this whole thing can be visualized through another perspective: Steve Jobs makes sure every feature in the new ipod is thoroughly used by testers and de-bugged and strives to provide the best possible product available (yes the features they include are 99.9% bug free and very pleasing to use). Well, it is more or less both the aspects business and perfection Apple keeps in mind before new installments they release. New features added in the 5th generation:
  • Glossyfinish.
  • A little bigger screen size 2.2 inch diagonally.
  • Video capture (with audio): The new installment includes a VGA camera integrated in the ipod. Though VGA I'm pretty sure it would capture videos like a cheap 10mp camera. Video at 640X480 and 30FPS is really a great feature to have on a thin thing like Ipod nano. 15 Video effects are also included Sepia, Black and White, X-Ray, Film Grain, Thermal, Security Cam, Cyborg, Bulge, Kaleido, Motion Blur, Mirror, Light Tunnel, Dent, Stretch, and Twirl. Check out the supeb quality videos recorded with an Ipod nano. [Videos]
  • Spoken Menus: in many foreign languages.
  • Integrate FM radio. This includes 15 mins of rewind and pause of live radio and iTunes tagging (??).
  • Pedometer: This time the accelerometer is put to a great use. With a pedometer (counts steps) the new accelerometer app rocks.
  • and probably many more small improvements they don't usually flaunt.
You could call this an Apple fanboy's speech but trust me Apple rocks. With other overpriced products Apple has in the market, only nano fits fine in the pocket (both economically and physically) and doesn't seems to be overpriced at all. I just can't wait to try the new nano. But I'll wait till someone gifts me :P or till I can arrange some money to buy it on my own.
Mousotron - Measure mouse stats

Wouldn't it be great if you had a handy and independent tool to measure the total distance your mouse has ever traveled or the number of clicks it made in its life time. I really love to see such stats. Mousotron is a simple application (~3mb RAM) which makes it possible. Probably made in visual basic, it is the best freeware tool that measures clicks, right-clicks, distance traveled, instant speed, [caption id="attachment_637" align="alignright" width="149" caption="Mousotron"]Mousotron[/caption] keystrokes and what not. I experienced some bug with the keystroke measuring, it decreases sometimes automatically. Another great use of Mousotron is that it measures you system uptime, saves it and adds it up every time you restart. There you have your Total system uptime!! There are a plenty other widgets for Google gadgets or Vista sidebar gadgets that measure you mouse statistics (Distance, clicks etc). But Google gadgets feels like something unnecessary loading up of RAM and the sidebar is like something useless blocking your view. After a few weeks of use I bet everyone feels like unloading sidebars from their desktops. Though they look good at first, but you start to realize glitches later on. Mousotron is a independent application (not something that runs under a sidebar app). It is customizable to a great extent. Other controls like click through controls could have been added (so that it would look like a dynamic wallpaper that mesures mouse stats). Mousotron is a must download. Minimises to system tray and helps to prevent taskbar clutter. It is free, small, takes up very less RAM in realtime and works great. [Dowload Mousotron]

Great wallpapers with Google

Finding great wallpapers couldn't have been easier. Google image search is one great tool to find some awesome wallpapers for your desktop. It can be done simply by pre/post-fixing the following string after the search term. (replace the width and height with your desktop size.)

imagesize:widthxheight
>> Example
Vector imagesize:1440x900
Or if you want to do it in a graphical interface go to: advanced image search. Now click on the use my desktop size link and enter a search term in the blue-find box. Click on the Google Search button

Symbols : The literal interpretation

Things can get so funny sometimes that you P in your pants or get cramps in stomach muscles. Or you could just LYAO (laugh your A off). Do you think truth is funny? yes, it is when you start interpreting things on paper with the perfect word-sketch translation. Laughing truly is good for health. Once you blow off your A you won't suffer bowel clogs. But pain?? Plus everything you load in would just flow out!!

This could happen to you. Laugh carefully and responsibly
